The Nebraska Chapter of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) held their state voice auditions at ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ on October 7.

Over 240 singers, from other Nebraska colleges and universities, competed including 36 Wesleyan ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ students.

Six ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ alumni were honored recently for their impact on the world and on their alma mater.

The honorees were recognized during the University’s annual Legends and Legacies Alumni Association Award Dinner, held September 23.

Award recipients were selected by the Alumni Association’s Recognition Committee.

¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ’s annual Bravo! Bosendorfer Piano Series will conclude in October with pianist Ned Kirk.

On Sunday, October 30, pianist Ned Kirk returns to Lincoln.

With an enthusiastic passion for all things music and a background in musicology, new music professor John Spilker says he wants to bring new perspectives and creative ideas to Nebraska Wesleyan.

¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ crowned Sarah Hotovy of York and Collin Shepherd of North Platte as its 2011 homecoming queen and king.

The college seniors were recognized during ceremonies held at the university’s annual homecoming weekend, September 22-25.

With experience in many languages and a love for all things culture, its no wonder Sarah Barr was destined to be ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ’s new Director of Global Engagement.

Sophomore Eric Jackson admits he didn’t understand the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. But he was only a fourth-grader.

He does remember it being a beautiful, sunny day. He remembers where he was at in Humann Elementary School in Lincoln. And he even remembers seeing Air Force One flying over and being escorted by two fighter jets.
