As ¶¶ÒõÊÓÆµ starts classes, five forenisc science graduates and students start a new job at American Systems in Virginia as latent fingerprint technicians. Graduates Gabrielle Toy, Alisha Engle, and Cody Olander and students Tanine Rennick and Kevin Curry have all been hired by a company that provides forensic science services to clients.
¶¶ÒõÊÓÆµâ€™s fall semester begins Monday, August 22. Faculty and students will return to find some enhancements to programs and facilities and will also find a few new faces.
¶¶ÒõÊÓÆµ's Cooper Center for Academic Achievement has received a $51,600 grant that will provide for extended hours, additional staffing, and new instruction.
The Cooper Center Foundation of Lincoln honored former trustee and ¶¶ÒõÊÓÆµ president John W. White with a grant in his memory. White died on April 18.
¶¶ÒõÊÓÆµ students Raven Shirley and Nick Lee are passionate about sports so when two internships to help coordinate the state’s largest amateur sports festival became available, they eagerly jumped at the opportunity.
¶¶ÒõÊÓÆµ will kick off its fall lecture series with its annual Visions & Ventures Symposium, which will address the economics, ethics and politics of sports.
