Madison Demke, a sophomore at ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ and a member of ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ’s WISE (Wesleyan Institute for Successful Educators) Honors Program, has a unique opportunity this semester to shadow Lindsey Wilson, who was recognized as the 2025 Nebraska Teacher of the Year by the Nebraska Department of Education.

A Journey Shaped by Loss

This fall, students at ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ enrolled in Lobbying and Policy Advocacy are engaging with a distinctive political system: Nebraska is the only state with a unicameral legislature, rather than the more typical bicameral structure of a house of representatives and a senate, and it has the only nonpartisan legislature in the nation.

Ella Ford has made history as the first ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ student to receive the prestigious Pioneer Award from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective academic honor society, whose motto is "Let the love of learning rule humanity."

¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ has once again earned national recognition for excellence in higher education, being named a Top Regional University and a Best Value in the U.S. News & World Report: Best Colleges 2026 rankings.

¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ is proud to announce the students selected to participate in the Spring 2026 cohort of the Capitol Hill Internship Program (CHIP), a premier experiential learning opportunity that connects ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ students to high-impact internships available only in Washington, D.C.
