For over four decades, Nebraska Wesleyan students have had the chance to win gold medals. Walking, climbing and jumping are just a few of the events involved - but rats are at the center of this popular academic event.

Each year on November 11, we come together to celebrate and thank those individuals who have served our country.

The study abroad experience looks a little different for ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ senior Sierra Smith. Smith, a recent recipient of the Gilman Scholarship, is spending her semester taking classes virtually through the University of Palermo in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Today, we celebrate National First-Generation College Celebration. Alberto, Alexis and Jacqueline Ortega represent just a few of the students, faculty, and staff on campus who identify as first-generation students. We recently asked them to tell us about their experiences at ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ and as first-generation college students. 

The work of the late realist artist Stephen Brown will be featured at ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ’s Elder Gallery later this month. The exhibit is entitled The Aching Beauty of it All: Paintings by Stephen Brown. This will mark the first time the artist’s work has been exhibited in Nebraska.

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs recently recognized ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ as a top producing small institution of Gilman Scholarship recipients over the past 20 years.

After years of planning and development, ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ launched its new Master of Social Work program in Lincoln this fall.

After 25 years upstairs, the Cooper Center now stands just off the library’s main entrance on the first floor. This new prominence means one of the first things visitors see as they enter the library is students collaborating with students at the Cooper Center.

Commencement day at ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ is defined by two walks, and a good amount of tradition.
