Third English Student Wins 2010 Fulbright Award

Congratulations to Meera Bhardwaj on being the fourth Ƶ student or alum to win Fulbright award this year.  Meera will graduate in May 2010 with a major in English and minors in French and Psychology.  

Meera will spend 2010-2011 teaching English in Cameroon.  As an Ƶ student, Meera has taken several trips to Africa: she did collaborative research with Prof. Gerise Herndon in Rwanda, she studied abroad in Senegal, and she did service work  in Malawi as a member of Global Service Learning (GSL).  

This year, English students or alumni accounted for three of Ƶ's four Fulbrights.  Last year, all four Ƶ Fulbright winners were English students (three English majors and one English minor).
