At Ƶ, we use Okta as our Identity Provider and Multi-Factor source.

Upon activating your account you will need to come up with a password that meets Ƶ’s information technology requirements.

Password requirements:

  • 14 or more characters
  • An Uppercase Letter(s)
  • A Lowercase Letter(s)
  • A Number(s)
  • A Symbol(s)

You should have received an email from do-not-reply [at] nebrwesleyan.edu (do-not-reply[at]nebrwesleyan[dot]edu) with the subject "Welcome to Okta at Ƶ!" in your personal email account. If you do not see it in your inbox, try searching and also remember to check your Junk Mail. That email is essential to activating and setting up your Ƶ account. If you cannot find it, you will need to contact our ITS Helpdesk at (402)465-7777 to have another email sent to you.

  • Open the email and click the button that says "Activate Okta Account".

  • A web page will open and will ask you to set-up your password and a security question.

  • First click "Set up" under the Password section.
  • Enter your new password and then click "Next".
  • Next you will be taken to the "Set up" window with just "Security Question" remaining.
  • Click on "Set up" under the Security Question section.
  • From the dropdown select a security question you think is best and will remember and enter your answer to that question. Then click "Next".
  • Finally, you will see a screen with 3 optional additional security options you can enable. Please let up “Okta Verify”. This will require the Okta Verify app on your phone. If you do not have a smart phone. Please contact IT at 402-465-7777 or email support [at] nebrwesleyan.edu (support[at]nebrwesleyan[dot]edu)

  • Open the Okta Verify app on your phone.
  • Click on the "+" on the top of the app.
  • Choose "Organization" for Account Type
  • If you see the QR Code on your computer screen click "Yes, ready to scan" on your phone
  • Point the phone at the screen and scan the QR Code on the screen with the Okta Verify app.
  • It will ask you if you want to enable your phones biometrics (FaceID, Fingerprint, FingerID, etc...).
  • Click Done

You should be back at the optional features page, you can choose to setup the other two, or click "Set up later" to finish your account activation.

You are done! Your account is activated and the password you entered is the password you will use on all connected services.
